Today when I awoke I asked myself ‘Does God really exist?’ Is Jesus truly the Son
of God? Faith is believing in what we cannot see. Our world of scientific
achievement and personal self seeking often categorizes faith as the crutch of the
ignorant and the simple minded. But can I live in this world without God? Why is
this churning inside of me propelling me to seek beyond my physical reality to a
higher good?
Lord Jesus, reveal yourself to me today. Help me find the truth of Your Being. The
prophets spoke of You. Peter, James, and John saw You in Your glory and heard
the Father’s endorsement of You. Lord Jesus, I am surrounded by unbelief. My
world has made pagan idols of wealth and power and intellectual pursuits. My daily
encounters with the wisdom of the world is snuffing out the Divine Wisdom that
You have revealed to me in Scripture. Help me, Lord Jesus, to seek You with a
sincere heart. Open those doors which will lead me to You. Restore in me the
precious gift of faith that has been buffeted and obscured by needless worries and
preoccupations. Jesus, reveal Yourself to me as the Son of God and protect that
Truth from the assault of evil in its many disguises. Thank you.
